For some reason, I have always been intrigued by Maintenance of Way (MOW) trains. I had made a large fleet of HO scale MOW cars before I turned to G scale. My train now consists of twenty-two cars with six on the bench waiting to be worked on.

When the train is together, it represents years of my modeling experience. The crew cars were the first G scale cars that I ever altered from out of the box. Before that point, I wouldn't dare touch a brand new train car. They were also the first cars that I ever weathered. From there, I moved up to detailing, painting, and weathering entire cars. Then I tried my hand at kit bashing and even some scratch building.

Every time I see the train run by, it shows me where I started and how far I have come. The train has been a great learning experience for me and I intend to keep adding to it in the future.
