I felt that this page was important to include in the website because it was essential for us to be able to run trains even though the layout wasn't complete. If we had never run a train during the seven years of construction, we would have surely lost interest. Our advice: get those trains running!
After the completion of Main 2, it was time to run some trains. Below is the first train to ever run on the MannM Railway, an LGB Union Pacific passenger train.
Here is an interesting picture: this is my MOW train as it appeared out of the box. You can see what this train looks like now, years later, under the Maintenance of Way tab on this website.
The second train to run on the MannM railroad was an LGB RhB passenger set.
Finally, a foursome of AristoCraft Dash-9's
Another interesting note: the rock pictured below stayed in the same spot throughout the construction. It is our corner stone you could say.
